GRACE

Grace.

I speak of God’s grace –

What else is there to speak of?

What else could take its place?

Everything else is an absence.

An emptiness,

a space.

Grace is God’s gift,

for everyone everywhere,

as free as fresh air;

like water overflowing 

with plenty to spare,

a new garment to wear.

Grace is love

that fills the whole earth with its flair.

Grace on the cross

is God’s heart laid bare.
