Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
But how do we love ourselves without being selfish and/or uncaring about the needs of those around us? May I suggest that they are not necessarily mutually exclusive and while it may not always be simple, perhaps the following is a good place to start.
