Call to Worship
Do not let your hearts be troubled
Believe in God believe also in me
In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places
If it were not so, would I have told you
that I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you
I will come again,
And take you to my self
So that where I am,
there you may be also. John14: 1-3
Mother's Day Message to my Mum - Christina Teng. Happy Mothers day, to the greatest Mother in the world, to me and my wife. And an amazing grandmother to my daughter. Mum is the most giving, loving, and generous with her time for everyone. She deserves so much love to be sent to her, and more. I love you so much Mum! from you loving Son - Barney, Daughter in Law - Yvette, and granddaughter - Isis.
Prayer of Thanksgiving
We gather this Mother’s day,
to worship you and to acknowledge you alone
as our God, our Saviour and our comfort.
Be with your children, as we
give thanks and praise to you.
As we live during
this COVID 19 Pandemic
we continue to affirm your presence,
in the signs of your healing, your peace your joy
and your love.
Speak to us
as we worship this day,
in Spirit and in truth. Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving and Confession
Gracious God as a mother loves her child, so you love us.
For that great truth we praise and thank you.
We owe our very lives to you. You have watched over us from birth
Tenderly nurturing us, showering us with love. When we have needed you, you have been there.
You have given us strength in times of need,
Comfort in times of distress
encouragement in times of despair,
Guidance in times of uncertainty.
Whatever we have faced, you have been with us.
We have not always appreciated your love,
All too often ignoring what you teach us,
Disobeying your instructions,
Taking you for granted and wandering, far from your side.
Yet through it all your love has remained constant.
Caring for us more than you care for yourself,
Sacrificing your all, for our sakes,
Loving us with an unquenchable love,
You have called us children.
For that great truth
We praise and thank you, in the name of Christ.
Forgive us Lord,
For we take you for granted,
Forgetting the way you hold us in your arms,
As a mother cradles her child:
The way you teach,
Comfort and lead
Always there when we need you most.
Help us to respond,
Not just today but every day,
In grateful and loving service, Amen. (Nick Fawcett)

Moms Song – A Mother’s day tribute
“ Gateway Community Church”
Prayer of Intercession
Loving God we remember today all who mourn
Their hearts broken by tragedy
Tears a constant companion,
Laughter and happiness seeming a distant memory.
Reach out into their pain and heartache and sadness
And give the knowledge that you understand their hurt
And share their sorrow.
May your arms enfold them,
Your love bring comfort
And your light scatter the shadows
so that they may know joy once more
and celebrate life in all its fullness.
