Spirit of God in the clear running waters - Sathish Paul
Call to worship
It is high time we start making
Happy noises about God,
That we boldly proclaim his name
And shout his praises.
We already know
What he has done throughout history,
The great deeds he has performed,
The people who witnessed them
And worshipped him.
Let us recognise as well, what he is constantly doing for us.
He walks with us into the crucible of conflict.
He tests and tries us
In the valley of pain and sorrow.
He allows us to face the agony of affliction.
He gives our enemies permission
To oppose and oppress us.
And then he uses these very things
To purge us and prepare us for his purposes.
Now I renew my pledge to my God.
I strive to carry out those promises I made to him
When I cried for his help in my troubles.
I yielded my life to him
As a sacrifice and thank offering.
You who are seeking god,
These are the things he has done for me.
He has accepted me despite my sins and failures.
He listens when I cry to him
And he responds with solace and support.
I proclaim Gods praises
Because I know he will love me forever.

Prayer of Thanksgiving & Confession
Thank you Lord for another Sunday,
where we choose to come together to worship you.
Thank you that our government has taken us down to Alert level 2 and
that you are still with us.
Thank you that we have more access to the community
That we are a part of.
We Thank you and give praise to you for the progress that we are making here in Aotearoa with the COVID 19 virus.
We thank you for life, and for the new life obtained in you.
Your resurrection reigns supreme in our lives and continues to strengthen us when we are in times of anxiety like today.
Lord Jesus meet with us now through your Spirit
In a world where so much, questions faith,
Denies love & threatens hope.
May your resurrection life flow within us,
convincing us of your eternal purpose:
the blessings you hold
in store imperishable, unfading
Kept in heaven.
And may that assurance sustain us now and always. Nick Fawcett
Lord we confess that despite your offer of free grace
We still seek to deserve your love
Though you have told us that you have looked in our hearts
We still try to hide our true selves from you
Though you have given your life for us
We still hold back part of our lives for ourselves
Though you gave everything,
We only give something and though you are our living Lord
We live as though you are still in the tomb.
Lord change renew and set us free
To be the persons you meant us to be from the very beginning.
In the name of Christ. Amen. David Clowes.

PRAYERS FOR THIS TIME
Adapted from Chaplaincy Dept, Marquette University
May we who are merely inconvenienced
remember those whose lives are at stake.
May we who have no risk factors
remember those most vulnerable.
May we who have the luxury of working safely from home or in socially distanced clean spaces
remember those who must choose
between preserving their health or making their rent.
May we who have the flexibility to care for our children
when their schools closed
remember those who have no options.
May we who have to cancel our trips
remember those that have no place to go.
May we who are losing our margin money
in the tumult of the economic market
remember those who have no margin at all.
May we who must remain at home, even as the world stirs again,
remember those who have no home.
During this time
when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,
let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God
to our neighbours.
