Call to Worship
The best thing we can do is to reconnect with the good Spirit of Life,
 Good Spirit, in this time and place we will refocus our lives;
we will let a peaceful harmony settle in our mind and body.
We will breathe the breath of life and know it as the gift of life.
Help us to look into ourselves.
Help us to look beyond ourselves and find our energy renewed;
our inspiration expanded;
 our human sympathies reawakened.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

We praise you this morning for the joy, victory and happiness
experienced in the first week of Easter
As we start this second week, we thankyou
that we do truly know the real meaning
Of Easter.
Thank you that though in Lockdown we
Can still worship you and praise you
For rising from the dead and
Leading the way forward for us, your followers.
Easter is a special time Lord God.
Be with us as we do our best to
Show your love to others,
to spread your word and to love as you love.
May we also
draw nearer to you,
As you invite us to come and sup with you.
May we rest in you and know the peace that only you can give,
and the presence of your Holy Spirit.
Thank you Living God that we know you
as our Saviour and the God of love, Amen.

Prayer of Confession
O God of new beginnings,
You teach us to pray for the inbreaking of your Holy Spirit,
and yet we acknowledge a level of comfort with the status quo.
O God of new creation,
You invite us to pray for the coming of your kingdom,
And yet we confess a stubbornness
About our own sense of direction.
O God of the empty tomb, crown and cross,
You disrupt the patterns of our everyday lies,
and yet at times we are resistant to change.
Break our hearts of stone
with your words of healing and hope, risen Lord,
Forgive us, and walk with us into a new future.

Words of Assurance
The Risen Lord walks before you
to give you hope, and beside you to give you strength.
The risen Lord dwells within you to give you peace, Amen.

Prayer of Intercession

Crucified and Living God, we pray for the peace of the world,
For harmony and good will between nations, especially in this time of COVID 19.
For honesty and compassion in the exercise of our Government.
We pray for all who are locked down in lives of poverty,
violence or disease.
Risen God, send us to be instruments of your peace
and, in our mercy
Hear our prayer

Crucified and Living God, we pray for the preservation
Of the earth, for a delight in its beauty, a respect for its
creatures, for wise and just use of its resources.
We pray for creatures who are endangered by our
cruelty, indifference or greed.
Risen God send us to be good stewards of your
Creation.
and, in our mercy

Hear our prayer

Crucified and Living God, we pray for our land,
For an appreciation of our diverse backgrounds and heritage,
For a common sense of unity and purpose.
We pray for all who live in fear because of prejudice,
Intolerance or exclusion.
Risen God, send us to be agents of your reconciliation,
and, in your mercy
Hear our prayer

Crucified and Living God, we pray for your church,
For unity and love between Christians, for power to
faithfully proclaim your gospel in the world.
We pray for those whose faith is threatened by
disobedience, persecution or disbelief.
Risen God, send us to be witnesses of your resurrection,
and, in your mercy
Hear our prayer .

Crucified and Living God, we pray for those with whom
We live and work, for our families, our friends
And for ourselves for relationships of mutual trust
And love.
We pray for those who are shut away behind bitterness
resentment or regret.
Risen God , send us to be bearers of your love.
And, in your mercy
Hear our prayer.

Crucified and Living God, we pray for all in need
For comfort for the sad, peace for the anxious, relief for the suffering
And patience and strength for those who care for them.
We pray for those who live with grief, loneliness, despair
Or pain.
Risen God send us to bring your healing and your hope
and, in your mercy
Hear our prayer.

Crucified and Living God, we remember and give thanks for
your faithful people of every age who have believed
and trusted in you.
Help us, like them, to recognise the marks of your
wounded love and your risen power that, with them,
we too may know you in our midst.
Risen God in life and death let us rejoice
In your presence,
and, in your mercy
Hear our prayer.

Because He Lives

We are an Easter people

We are an Easter people,
 ours is an Easter faith,
The yeast is rising in our hearts,
Our wine has vintage taste

Christ is risen, Christ is risen, risen in our Lives

We are an Easter people
ours is an Easter faith
Our tears are freed to flow and heal
Our shattered hopes and hearts.

We are an Easter people,
ours is an Easter faith,
Our fears have died, we rise to dream
To love, to dance to live.
