Hello and Welcome to the Hamilton East Methodist Parish!
We are striving to be an intercultural church that follows Christ and strives to grow the kingdom of God here in Hamilton New Zealand and around the world.
Parish Mission Statement:
1: To be a witness to our faith through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2: To provide a place of Christian worship and learning.
3: To nurture the parishioners within a community of faith.
4: To be an active Methodist presence on the East-side of Hamilton
We have four parishes at two sites with four worship services:
Every Sunday at our St John's building (on the corner of Wellington and Grey streets):
English service is at 9:30am with children's church happening at the same time
Tongan service is at 1pm
Every Sunday at our Wesley building (on Heaphy Terrace):
English service is at 11am
Fijian service is at 2:30pm
Please note: On the first Sunday of the month, we ALL worship together for combine service at St John's at 9:30am.
We have English, Tongan and Fijian small groups that meet during the week.
During the week:
Wednesday: Tongan community have night service 7pm at St John's
Thursday: St John's choir meet on a Thursday night
Friday: Youth have Youth group 7:30pm at St John's
Both English congregations have a Women's fellowship that meet monthly
Hamilton East Methodist Parish holds a rich History . The churches roots go back to 1910.
Our church family:
